As City Councillor, I will champion year-round community activation beginning in Etobicoke North through neighbourhood festivals, cultural programming, local markets, family events, outdoor recreation, public art, and partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, schools, and sponsors. An entertaining, yet engaging ward!
Mazri's goal is simple: create public spaces that people actively choose to visit rather than simply pass through.
Where appropriate, I will advocate at City Hall for expanding successful neighbourhood initiatives across Toronto through partnerships with Destination Toronto, Business Improvement Areas, the private sector, and community organizations.
By creating vibrant public spaces, we strengthen local businesses, increase neighbourhood pride, improve public safety through greater community activity, and support Toronto's visitor economy—all while maximizing partnerships before relying on additional municipal spending.
Successful neighbourhood events can gradually attract visitors from across Toronto and beyond, supporting local hotels, restaurants and retailers while strengthening Etobicoke North's identity.
Mazri's Bio Harmony philosophy recognizes that parks are more than recreational spaces—they are essential public infrastructure that improves health, strengthens communities, encourages physical activity, enhances neighbourhood beauty, and contributes to public safety through thoughtful design.
Nathen Mazri will advocate for modern playgrounds, accessible trails, shade trees, public seating, fitness equipment, lighting, landscaping, splash pads where appropriate, and inviting gathering spaces as funding opportunities become available.
